Young Indians aged 6 to 21 may take part. Participants compete only within their own age group, so a nine-year-old is never judged against a twenty-year-old.
Age is determined as on 1 January 2026. Once assigned, an age group cannot ordinarily be changed.
Each category accepts the disciplines listed below. Detailed submission requirements are published on the registration page.
Participants may enter in any ONE of the above categories.
Every entry travels the same six steps, from submission to the ceremony stage.
Register online, choose your age group and category, and submit your entry.
Every eligible entry is evaluated by the Rachnakaar jury panel.
The best entries in each age group and category are shortlisted.
Shortlisted participants compete in their own category and age group.
A final winner is selected in each category, for each age group.
Winners receive their award at the Rachnakaar Annual Award Ceremony.
